For the Rev.Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, Rev. Stephanie explores “Dr. King’s Quest” to build the Beloved Community. On the final Sunday, January 25, Intern Minister, Ebonié Smith-Cooper invites us to reconsider “Jezebel’s Journey”—questioning what lessons we might learn from this often-misrepresented, vilified woman of the Hebrew Bible.Cover of book The Alchemist with bright yellow and orange patterns

If you are looking to connect with others in small-groups, this month has several different opportunities. John Newhall, Intern Minister, will lead a discussion of the monthly theme on January 14. On Wednesday, January 21, “Read with the Rev” returns with a discussion of the classic book, The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho.

Join Rev. Stephanie to reflect on the themes of journey and self-discovery in this allegorical book. Throughout the month, Ebonié Smith-Cooper will host weekly online Chapel gatherings. Hosted twice a day on Tuesdays, both sessions will have the same content and provide a time of sharing from the heart, readings, songs, and shared silence.
