Sunday Morning Childcare at First Church Boston Unitarian-Universalist

First Church Boston Unitarian Universalist seeks a childcare provider to care for young children aged one-year and up while their parents/caregivers attend Sunday services. First Church Boston is located in the Back Bay, on the corner of Berkeley and Marlborough.

The provider would work in a team of 2 to provide care in a classroom of the John Winthrop School, a preschool located on the lower level of the church, primarily using the toys and books available. First Church staff supplements these with books or simple activities that reflect our Unitarian Universalist values and principles. The numbers and ages of children vary from week to week with as little as 1 child and as many as 7 or 8. In addition to providing basic care and engagement for the children, responsibilities would include welcoming parents at drop-off and pick-up and leaving the classroom tidy and ready for Monday classes.

Schedule: Sunday mornings, 10:30 am to no later than 1:00 pm; September 27 through mid-June. Additional hours for occasional special events as provider is available.

Pay rate: $26.75 per hour (typically 2-2.5 hours per week)

Experience with young children, preferably in a daycare or school setting, required. CORI background check required.
