A Community Led Service
One-time pastor of the Second Church of Boston*, Ralph Waldo Emerson once proclaimed, “All men are poets at heart. They serve nature for bread, but her loveliness overcomes them sometimes.” In this spirit, we invite all to ring out the year in a casual gathering of word and song. Bring a favorite poem or reading to share as we celebrate the gift of poetry and language.
For Families: Childcare is on a holiday break and will return in the new year on Sunday, January 5. Children are invited to remain in the service and/or enjoy quiet activities in the rear of the sanctuary on the play rug.
*Founded in 1649, Second Church merged with First Church in 1970.
