On December 10, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed a “Universal Declaration of Human Rights” that recognized the inherent dignity and rights of “all members of the human family.” Written in the aftermath of global war, the Declaration represented a moment of hope for a shared understanding of what we hold in common as a human community. In our current era of fractured media, political polarization, and violent conflicts, how do we continue to speak of human rights and common ground?
For Families: Childcare for children ages 1-8 available with Noah and Jackie. First Church Boston storyteller, Rev. Hank Peirce, will share a story for all ages in the service will share a story for all ages in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Jackie for stories, play, and craft.
