Welcoming March
March is a month of mud and daffodils as we emerge from winter and embrace the first days of spring. As the season changes amidst a tumultuous political landscape, we invite you to find connection and spiritual renewal in multiple ways throughout the month.

Our month begins with a community potluck on Saturday, March 1, 6pm. This gathering kicks off our annual fundraising campaign to support our congregation. As an institution supported and led by its members, the annual “Canvass” is a moment to be reminded of why this congregation matters to each of us.
In Sunday services throughout the month, different members will briefly share their story of why they are part of the church. For those interested in learning more about First Church and Unitarian Universalism, there will be a New Member Info Session on Sunday, March 16, at 12:30 pm. Light lunch provided.
Continuing our reimagining of our 1630 Covenant, our monthly theme of “putting faith into action” draws on the historic idea of “walking together” as a religious community. This image emphasizes shared action rooted in religious values and understandings. What could it mean in our moment to put our faith into action together?  You can explore this theme with Lindsay Donnelly-Bullington, our Intern Minister, in a small group discussion on Monday, March 3, 7:00pm or throughout the month in our Sunday Services.

You can also explore how to put your faith into action by joining the monthly gathering of the Social Justice Community on Sunday, March 2, 12:30pm. Or, you can learn more about how to engage with the work of the UU Urban Ministry in Roxbury on Sunday, March 9, 12:30pm.
Whether you are seeking a place of renewal, a community of connection, or a path to taking action with others, we at First Church Boston hope you may find what you need here.
