Sermon: “Making a Way”
Rev. Dr. Stephanie May

“Making a way out of no way” is a common phrase within African American culture and the title of a major exhibit of the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Testifying to the role of resilient creativity to survive and even thrive despite challenges created by racism and injustice.  How can we celebrate the agency of individuals who courageously “make a way” while also addressing systemic challenges

For Families: Childcare for children aged 1-8 is available with Noah and Anna. We will share a story for all ages in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Anna for stories, play, and craft. Children of all ages are also always welcome in the sanctuary.
