On this weekend that honors the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we explore ways that songs of freedom helped to fuel resistance to enslavement, in the Civil Rights era, and beyond. What role can music play in the continuing work against injustice in our own moment?
For Families: Childcare for children ages 1-8 available with Noah and Jackie. Rev. Hank Peirce, our First Church Boston Storyteller, will share a story for all ages in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Jackie for stories, play, and craft.
