Sermon: “Their Place in the Sun”
In a joyful service marking the end of the church year,* we will lift up both the celebration of LGBTQ Pride Month as well as the ritual of Flower Communion. In both ways, we honor the worthiness of each person across genders, sexualities, and a myriad of differences which together create a beautiful tapestry of human living. Please bring a flower to share (or flowers will be provided) and plan to stay for a BBQ following the service.
*Sunday, June 16 begins Summer Services in the air-conditioned chapel. Led by a guest minister or lay-leader, each service includes piano music and a soloist. Learn more online. We return to the Sanctuary for a new church year on Sunday, September 8, beginning with Charter Day followed by Water Sunday on September 15.
For Families: Childcare for children ages 1-8 available in the John Winthrop School with Laura and Sheila. Rev. Hank will share a story for all ages in the service. Older children are invited to remain in the service or to join Laura and Sheila for stories, play, and craft.
