Sermon: “Moving from Grief to Justice”

In a world where devastation is palpable every day, it is often difficult not to default to despair and fear. Though this despair is so present, I find there is hope in letting yourself grieve. Join me in investigating the importance of not defaulting to fear and despair, but to find space to grieve and then move from grief to justice work, finding joy and wonder in it all, sustaining ourselves and our communities. The Sunday offering will be shared with UU Mass Action.

Bio: Rev. Jo is the Executive Director for UU Mass Action and is busy mobilizing and organizing with the many UU Mass Action campaigns. Jo previously worked as a chaplain at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, in addition to being a case manager supporting people living with brain injuries. She loves runs that end in brunch.

For Families: Childcare for children ages 1-8 available in the John Winthrop school with Laura and Sheila. Rev. Stephanie will share a story for all ages in the service. Older children are invited to remain in the service or to join Laura and Shelia for stories, play, and craft.
