    Save the date: April 20 @ 7pm, the third Monday of the month, for Cafe Underground in the Theater at First Church Boston. It is always a surprise to see who shows up but it is certain there will be good food and a good time in community.

    Join in a casual time of welcoming the light on this holiest of days in the Christian tradition, facilitated by the Rev. Dr. Stephanie May. Please consider bringing a reading of renewal and hope to share from any tradition or author. Or simply come to be in community! Coffee and baked goods provided. In event of bad weather, we will meet in the First Church Auditorium.

    On this Easter Sunday, we revisit this ancient story through our monthly theme of “rebirth.” When you hear the word rebirth, what comes to mind—literal, spiritual, psychological, or symbolic? How do stories of rebirth, renewal, and resurrection help to kindle our hope in new beginnings?

    We welcome children of all ages to participate in an eco-friendly egg hunt. Many special treats to be found tucked in (not too hard) places to find. Fun for all!


  • The American Unitarian Association celebrates its 200th Anniversary with us

    On Sunday, April 12, First Church Boston was honored to host the 200th anniversary of the American Unitarian Association. The service commemorated the legacy of liberal faith with progressive values, and looked towards the future of Unitarian Universalism.

    The service included a sermon from Rev. Dr. Sofía Betancourt, the President of the Unitarian Universalist Association, and Rev. Nancy McDonald Ladd, the UUA’s Vice President of Communications & Stewardship.

    The the mood was celebratory and the music glorious. You can listen on the church’s YouTube channel.
