Janice Cooper is a creative and experienced fundraising leader with 30 years of proven success. Before that, she worked in education, teaching, providing student support services, and managing academic programs. Following a passion for automobiles, she founded Final Detail, an automotive detailing business in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Her household in Jamaica Plain includes her sister, Reverend June Robyn Cooper, who serves as the Theologian In The City at Old South Church in Copley Square and is deeply embedded in the Greater Boston religious and social justice communities. The other special resident of her household includes Little Miss MoMo, an adorable 17-year-old MinPin Cachucha mix. She is a member of the Historic Myrtle Baptist Church in West Newton, Massachusetts. Interests include museums, concerts, and a rekindled interest in history because of First Church Boston’s unique place in American History.

She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with the First Church Boston community, engaging its members, welcoming visitors, supporting staff, and participating in church activities.
