All Ages Fun in October

In October, please join us in fun events for the family happening on Marlborough Street. On Saturday, October 19, the John Winthrop School hosts their annual street fair from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Stop by our table for a fun hat project and to meet First Church folks, including our children’s programming staff, Noah and Jackie. Then, on Halloween, we will again be out front with candy and costumes. For both eventsour restrooms will be available to the public.

Since our start as Boston’s first religious community, we have been a multi-age community of children, parents, single adults, and elders. We welcome children in all our Sunday services or invite them to join with Noah and Jackie for values-based activities using art, story, and movement. As a Unitarian Universalist congregation, we aim to nurture truth-seeking, spirituality, and progressive moral values that will continue to shape and support our children as they grow. You can learn more about Unitarian Universalist approaches to religious development online or please reach out to Rev. Stephanie.  We are actively seeking new ways to support the spiritual and religious needs of families today who are seeking multi-age community.

For adults, we host monthly events for deeper conversations, engaging in Social Justice efforts, and sharing food together. Join us Wednesday, October 30, 6pm for dinner and a casual time of sharing stories and songs on the monthly theme of “what does it mean to be faithful?” To learn more about what is happening each week, please sign up for our weekly e-news.
