“The Cliffhanger” Sermon by Rev. Dr. Stephanie May

Sermon: “The Cliffhanger”
Rev. Dr. Stephanie May
In 2026 America, what meaningfully relevant role could religious life and institutions still play? As some religious institutions close their doors and others remain vibrant, how do we make sense of religious longing today—in ourselves and in others? In the long story of religious life in America, and of First Church Boston in particular, where might the story take us next? Where do you hope to go?
For Families: Childcare for children aged 1-8 is available with Noah and Anna. We will share a story for all ages in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Anna for stories, play, and craft. Children of all ages are also always welcome in the sanctuary.
