“The Sense of Wonder” Sermon by Rev. Dr. Stephanie May

Sermon: “The Sense of Wonder”
Rev. Dr. Stephanie May

In 1962, Unitarian Universalist Rachel Carson published the groundbreaking Silent Spring—a book often credited with launching the modern environmental movement. As an author, Carson grounded her work in science while also writing poetically of the sense of wonder found in nature. On this weekend of the Spring Equinox, we consider how Carson’s rich legacy might inspire us today to continue the work of supporting a healthier planet.
For Families: Childcare for children aged 1-8 is available with Noah and Anna. We will share a story for all ages in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Anna for stories, play, and craft. Children of all ages are also always welcome in the sanctuary.
