Sermon: “A Material World”

Do we need to leave “mundane,” material concerns behind to pursue a spiritual life? While some believe that the “spiritual” and the “material” worlds are in tension with one another, others insist that true religion addresses poverty and other experiences of living in a material world. In what ways do mundane concerns detract from spirituality and in what ways do we find meaning in the material world?

For Families: Childcare for children aged 1-8 is available with Noah and Anna. We will share a story for all ages in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Anna for stories, play, and craft. Children of all ages are also always welcome in the sanctuary.
