In a special service, we recognize Boston’s Charter Day and the city’s 395th birthday. In this era of ICE raids and mass detention of immigrants, we revisit the story of our origin as a sanctuary for Puritan emigrants. Remembering our own roots in migration, we explore the ethical and spiritual questions of immigration today.
For Families: Childcare for children aged 1-8 is available with Noah and Anna. A story for all ages will be shared in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Anna for stories, play, and craft. Children of all ages are also always welcome in the sanctuary.
