Sermon: “A Ragtag Community”

What do you expect from people? Do you expect people to usually do the “right” thing or do you expect things to go off the rails? By examining our views of human nature, we consider what role the idea of grace has in how we respond to ourselves and one another.

During the service, we will also welcome new members who will sign their names to the membership book and install their name on a copper strip into the corduroy concrete walls of our sanctuary.

For Families: Childcare for children ages 1-8 is available with Noah and Jackie.  Rev. Hank Peirce, First Church Storyteller, will share a story for all ages in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Jackie for stories, play, and craft. Children of all ages are also always welcome in the sanctuary.
