“Legacies of Resistance” Sermon by Rev. Dr. Stephanie May
Sermon: “Legacies of Resistance”
Rev. Dr. Stephanie May
When faced with seemingly unsurmountable challenges, revisiting the stories of activists from different eras can fuel our courage. In honor of International Women’s Day (March 8) and Women’s History Month, the service today explores the story of Lydia Maria Child who advocated for African Americans, Native peoples, and women at great cost to herself.
For Families: Childcare for children ages 1-8 available with Noah and Jackie. Rev. Stephanie May will share a story for all ages in the service. Following the story, older children are invited to remain in the service after or to join Noah and Jackie for stories, play, and craft.
