Virginia Wolfe called for “a room of one’s own” and the musical Hamilton sings of “the room where it happened.” Rather than value-neutral empty stages, the spaces we inhabit often reflect social dynamics and values. What messages of belonging and inclusion do we receive and send by the spaces we create and inhabit?

Hank Peirce will share a story for all ages and then invite kids 2nd grade and older to join him in exploring some of the ways different families, cultures, and religions celebrate the birth of children.
