DESCRIPTION:Sermon: “Singing loudly and walking together: How we keep mov
 ing forward for justice in these times” \nRev. Mary Margaret Earl\, Gue
 st\n\nToday’s sermon will be given by the Rev. Mary Margaret Earl\, Exec
 utive Director of the UU Urban Ministry (UUUM) in Roxbury. Dating back to 
 1826\, the UUUM today envisions a Greater Boston where all people live wit
 h freedom and dignity and have equitable access to resources and opportuni
 ty to shape the present and the future. The UUUM is one of our Social Just
 ice Community partners and today’s offering will be shared with them.\n\
 nFor Families: Childcare for children ages 1-8 available with Noah and Jac
 kie.  Rev. Stephanie May will share a story for all ages in the service. 
 Following the story\, older children are invited to remain in the service 
 after or to join Noah and Jackie for stories\, play\, and craft.\n\nBio: T
 he Rev. Mary Margaret Earl has served as Executive Director and Senior Min
 ister of the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry for 10 years. In this m
 inistry\, she works for racial justice and to strengthen connections betwe
 en UUs and the Roxbury neighborhood where the UUUM operates. She has serve
 d on the leadership team of Moral Movement Massachusetts\, the Roxbury Cul
 tural Network\, and the search committee for the Roxbury Community College
  president. Prior to her arrival at the UU Urban Ministry\, she spent 10 y
 ears at a faith-based nonprofit in RI serving the homeless community\, She
  is past president of the Board of the Rhode Island Coalition for the Home
 less\, recipient of the Heroes of Faith Award from the Rhode Island State 
 Council of Churches for her interfaith work\, and received a Courage of Co
 nscience award from the Peace Abbey in Sherborn\, Ma. She is a longtime ve
 gan committed to standing up for nonhuman animals.
