DESCRIPTION:Sermon: "Watering the Roots"\n\nWe come together for the annual
  Water Communion service to celebrate the gift of shared religious communi
 ty.  Through ritual\, music\, and a sermon\, we explore the metaphor of w
 atering our roots to highlight how spiritual care\, and community can help
  to sustain us.  \n\nAs you are able\, please bring a bit of water from 
 a meaningful place or event from your summer\, or water will be provided. 
 Participants will be invited to briefly share what makes this water meanin
 gful to them. In considering your remarks\, please think more of a poetica
 l phrase that highlights the meaning. (For example\, Rev. Stephanie brings
  water from a gathering of seminary friends in late July.) \n\nFor Famili
 es:  Childcare for children ages 1-8 is available. Older children are inv
 ited to remain in the service or to join the childcare helpers for stories
 \, play\, and craft.
